Visitation: Will begin after 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 09, 2009 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be at the funeral chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening to greet visitors.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Thursday afternoon, September 10, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church of Oskaloosa with Rev. Stephen Lane officiating.
Interment: Old Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Hill, Iowa

Sherie passed away Saturday at her home in rural Rose Hill at the age of 44 years, 2 months and 29 days of age.

Sherie Elizabeth Stout, daughter of Earl and Elizabeth “Beth” Brown Stout, was born June 6, 1965 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was a 1983 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. Following high school she was a stay at home mom for several years doing baby sitting in her home as well. She later worked as a manager at the Casey’s General Store in Altoona, at Monsanto in Muscatine and at Pella Corp. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Oskaloosa. She enjoyed shopping with her mom, crafts and spending time with her family.

Sherie is survived by three sons: Chad Brendlinger of Rose Hill, Joshua Brendlinger of Newton, IA and Samuel Scholtus at home in Rose Hill; her parents, Earl and Beth Stout; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and James Greer of Bella Vista, AR; a nephew, Matthew Long; two nieces, Hannah and Sarah Long; and a special friend, Todd Negrete of Oskaloosa.

Sherie was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
