Georgie passed away Thanksgiving Day at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 42 years and 2 months. . Georgie’s body has been cremated and private Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Henness Cemetery.

George Curtis Mount, son of Wayne Curtis Mount and Margie Darlene Johnson, was born September 26, 1967 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a 1986 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He had previously worked at Christian Opportunity Center in Oskaloosa. He participated in Special Olympics in running and bowling. He enjoyed assembling model trains and spaceships. Over the years, he had lived at Diamond Life in Montezuma, Cedar Valley Ranch in Vinton and most recently, the Julian Center in Dubuque.

Georgie’s family includes his father and step-mother, Wayne and Judy Mount of Bettendorf, Iowa; a half brother, Teddy Johnson of Burlington; a half sister, Megan Gordon of Davenport; his step-father, Ralph Gladwin of Oskaloosa; and aunt, Irene Geier of Oskaloosa; and a niece, Paige Kinkade of Branson, MO.

Georgie was preceded in death by his mother.
