Helen passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Mahaska Hospital at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 7 days.

Helen Louise Roberts the daughter of Verne and Ruth (Yerington) Reeve was born on May 20, 1922 in Brookings, South Dakota. On April 22, 1946 she was married to Renals C. Roberts in Hiawatha, Kansas. They lived in Russell, Iowa for 14 years, where together they farmed. She also worked as a Teachers Aid, retiring in 1975. After retiring they moved to Webster, Iowa where they lived for 24 years. Renals died on September 20, 1998. After Renals death, Helen lived in Sigourney, before moving to Oskaloosa in October of 2002. Helen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed reading the Bible, music, and especially enjoyed being with children.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother George Reeve.
|
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall, Oskaloosa Congregation for Haitian Relief.
